Fatimah RA was the youngest daughter of Prophet Muhammad SAW and his wife Khadijah RA.

Fatimah RA was the youngest daughter of Prophet Muhammad SAW and his wife Khadijah RA.
The Prophet SAW was reported to have said that, “The best women in the entire world are four: the Virgin Mary, Asiya the wife of Pharaoh, Khadijah Mother of the Believers, and Fatimah daughter of Muhammad.”
Fatimah RA was also bestowed with two titles; “az- Zahra,” which means “The Resplendent One,” in reference to her radiant face. She also had the title “al- Batul,” referring to her pure character. If we examine her short life, we can see that she was an inspiration, one who embodied the qualities of courage, loyalty, humility and selflessness.
Fatimah RA was around the age of five when her father received Prophethood. As a young girl, she demonstrated her fearlessness on one particular occasion when she visited the Masjid Al- Haram with the Prophet SAW. As he began to pray, a group of Quraysh gathered around him. A member of the clan fetched the remains of a slaughtered animal and threw it on the shoulders of the Prophet SAW whilst he was prostrating. Fatimah RA however did not stand back; she removed the filth from her father and angrily lashed out at the enemies. A girl, who was not even ten years old, silenced a group of brutes.
Early on, Fatimah RA experienced and witnessed a great deal of sadness and hardship. Firstly, there was her sisters’ departure following their marriage. Furthermore, her sisters Ruqayyah and Umm Kulthum suffered severe mental torture as they were both married to the sons of Abu Lahab, the Prophet’s SAW uncle and staunch enemy.
Then the family and followers were forced to leave their home as the persecution at the hands of the Quraysh intensified. Life became very tough as the Quraysh practically banned food and any contact with the Muslims. Shortly after the boycott, Fatimah suffered one of the greatest tribulations with the death of her mother.
Fatimah RA was well known for her compassionate and gentle personality. She was generous, helping the poor and needy; often she would give her food away even if it meant going hungry herself. She lived a very simple and humble life, without any care for luxuries.
This humble existence continued throughout her marriage to Ali Ibn Abu Talib RA. Unlike her sisters’ husbands, Ali RA was poor and both he and Fatimah RA had to work very hard. On one particular occasion, life became so unbearable that they went to the Prophet SAW to ask him for servants. Rather than giving them servants, the Prophet SAW taught them to recite Subhan Allah, Al Hamdulillah, Allahu Akbar after each prayer and before going to sleep. In many ways, their marriage had more barakah; it was based on piety and righteousness, and above all, they had the blessings and dua of the Prophet SAW.
Fatimah RA eventually gave birth to four children. The Prophet SAW was very close to his grandsons, Al-Hasan and Al Husayn, and would often be seen with them.
Despite being busy with family life, Fatimah RA still dedicated herself to the Muslim community in Medina. Along with other women, she played a key role in the Battles of Uhud and Trench, such as tending to the wounded and preparing food.
Fatimah RA passed away at the age of 29 during the month of Ramadan, just less than five months after her father died. Such strong and pious women are true role models for both Muslim men and women.

My name is Linda. I am a revert to Islam. My journey to Islam is really fascinating and here is my story.

Assalamu alaykum.
My name is Linda. I am a revert to Islam. My journey to Islam is really fascinating and here is my story.
It was afternoon on our way home from work, my office colleague telling me something about family situations, faith and other things. We shared views about my former religion [Catholic] and Islam. As we went deeper in our discussion, suddenly it came to mind that I wanted to know “What is Islam?” I felt in my heart an astonishing feeling to hurry home and turn on my computer to search more about Islam. On searching,  I found different videos and testimonies from different sources. One video that caught my attention was a live lecture of Shaykh Yusuf Estes in Dubai. I watched it till the end.
On that day I didn’t understand the feelings inside me but since then I was always excited to go home and listen intently to the lectures and watch videos of different Islamic speakers, all saying the same words, same manners with the same faith. Along the way of listening to those speakers and learning, I found myself crying with those who took Shahada and hearing their stories on how their lives changed after embracing the truth.
On my 2 weeks of following Shaykh Yusuf Estes’ lectures, he gave me his email address and I decided to write to him. It was a Thursday, I sent him an email saying that if ever I will be given a chance to be a Muslim, I would like him to be the one to give me the Shahada here in Qatar. On Friday evening I received a surprising reply from Shaykh Yusuf Estes, saying that he is glad to read my message as he was in Qatar at that time!
So I called the organizer of the event to check if Shaykh Yusus Estes had a public lecture that I could attend. I was informed that there were no public lectures at that time, however Shaykh Yusuf would meet me. On Saturday, I made my way to meet Shaykh Yusuf Estes, and recognized him right away. I approached him and introduced myself. He was very happy to hear of my decision and without further ado, I took my Shahada with him on that day, 8th December 2011 in Qatar.
Allah worked this way for me and I am so blessed that He guided me to the right path. Everyone at my workplace was surprised about it because I had not shared with them previously. I had been guided by Allah alone without anyone convincing me to become a Muslim. Masha’Allah and Alhamdulillah I received my certificate after completing my studies at the Fanar Islamic Center in Doha, Qatar. Insha’Allah I will take my Islamic education further to gain more knowledge about our religion.

Hypocrites

Allah, the Almighty, said:
“Lo! The hypocrites (both hypocritical men and hypocritical women) shall be in the lowest levels/depths of the Hellfire.” [Qur’an 4:145]

It was narrated that the Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said: The signs of the munaafiq/hypocrite are three:

When he speaks, he lies (he/she frequently tells lies). When he promises, he breaks it (when he/she states that they’ll do something in the future, they almost never do it. they break their promises frequently.). And when he disputes/argues, he behaves in a very insulting and egotistical manner (always thinking that he/she is right when it is obvious that they are wrong).

For the sake of Allah, never be friends with a hypocrite. Other signs of hypocrites include:

1. Acting as though they are religious Muslims when on the inside they have no faith/Imaan at all (i.e. they do not even believe in Allah).

2. They only pray when amongst Muslims, as in Friday and Eid prayers. They never pray when they’re alone.

3. Their intention of pretending to be Muslims are usually to spy on Muslims and create disunity/problems (such as promoting evil deeds etc.) in the Muslim society. Allah knows best.

Those are some of the reasons why the hypocrites will be in the lowest levels/depths of the Hellfire.

Wasalaam~
